For a major U.S. pharmaceutical client, led a cross-functional team which was chartered to evaluate a highly automated manufacturing plant in Puerto Rico. Recommended operational changes to improve the performance of an automated storage and retrieval system, automated guided vehicles and conveyor systems as well as the computer integrated manufacturing system. Developed new methodology for tracking system downtime and troubleshooting errors to improve overall system reliability. Recommended process improvements increased the capacity of the plant by 40% with minimal capital investment.
For the mail order division of a major pharmaceutical company, performed a capacity assessment of its fulfillment operations and developed both short term and long term strategies for increasing customer service while extending the life of the existing facility. Recommendations included changes to the process, the material handling system, and the information systems.
