For an importer and retailer of children’s apparel, designed a new material handling system to minimize the total cycle time for all cross-docked merchandise. Developed a functional bid specification for a new warehouse management system to control the order fulfillment process. Reengineered operations allowed the client to remain in their existing facility while increasing sales volumes three-fold and reducing total labor costs.
For a leading merchandiser of home interior products, managed transformation from a manual to an automated warehousing environment. Developed material handling procedures for a new consolidated warehouse operation leveraging a new warehouse management system. Developed a product slotting strategy for a $9 million pick-to-belt module. Performed acceptance tests for all material handling equipment and picking software.
